Talia started her musical studies at the conservatory of her hometown León and graduated in 2009 from the Conservatory of Music Eduardo Martinez Torner, Oviedo, obtaining a BMus Hons Degree in Performance. She has attended courses and master classes with violinists and pedagogues: Jose Ramon Hevia, Sergei Bezrodny, G. Pogosova, Aitor Hevia, Natalia Lomeiko, Hector Corpus and David Ballesteros.
While studying for her degree she had her first experiences working as a violin teacher, developing a strong interest in pedagogy.
She is currently working and receiving ongoing training as a teacher at The DaCapo Music Foundation, based on the methods of Kodaly and Dalcroze Eurhythmics and focused on the development of musicianship from an early age. She is one of the tutors of The Haringey Music Service, running wider opportunities lessons, violin ensembles and individual tuition. Along with Pablo Castro, she is the founder Muswell Hill Violin Studio.
As a performer she has worked with orchestras including Juventudes Musicales, Oviedo International Youth Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfónica Odón Alonso, Asturias Symphony Youth Orchestra. She forms Duo Klier with violinist Pablo Castro since 2005, regularly performing around England and Spain in classical recitals and educational workshops.
Having a strong interest in other styles such as blues, jazz and klezmer, she has been involved with bands and taken part in filming and theatre projects.
Talia is an absolute fan of Tom Waits and loves cinema.
